A poor showing yesterday, so no excerpt today. I spent most of the day playing the new Grand Theft Auto game, but now that I've got the initial excitement of it out of the way, I can get back to writing.

Come on, now. You knew what would happen when you bought that game :-)

What I wasn't expecting was the raging headache 5 hours of playing it gave me. I guess my days of all-day gaming binges are over...:-(

So the game is good, right?

It's pretty decent. It's not all that different than the other GTA games and it's going to take me forever to memorize the city map for it's extremely complicated, but the graphics are definitely a step up from previous games and the shooter-pedestrian interactions have gone to a whole new level of disturbing. It's far easier to evade the cops in this one than in previous ones, and hitting brick walls headlong in your car will eject you through the windshield so that necessitates some safer driving habits than in previous versions. But otherwise it's pretty much the same as the last GTA game, though that shouldn't be taken as a complaint. :)
