I had something of an idea about something to change in "Ancient Artifacts", about the ending, and so spent a bit of the morning doing that, but seeing how the change was making the story reach for novelette land, I've reconsidered and have decided to sit and think about it for a while and decide if the change is really necessary. What I have written thus far (before I started having my doubts) seems pretty good and does some good for criticism brought up in the last rejection, as well as does a little more with another character, but...but...it's getting so darn long. Spent the rest of the day reading for a critique. Tonight I'm scheduled to help out with Girl Scouts, which means a trip to Sam's Club for snacks and drinks. We'll be doing sewing with yarn and plastic mats (which reminds me that I need to get back to work on my cross-stitch of Tezcatlipoca....).
