525 words yesterday on a new story, strictly science fiction. I'm not sure if it would qualify as hard SF; it involves time travel, genetic engineering, astronomy, and AI's, so maybe it would. If so, that would open up Analog as a potential market for it.

After much deliberation and one final go-through, I sent "Gangland Gods" off to Scrybe Press instead of Interzone, mainly because I wasn't sure if it would be right for that magazine and wasn't ready to potentially waste the money to send it overseas, plus depending on whether they want you to use the 250 words per page count as opposed to the WP word count, I could potentially be over their maximum word limit. Scrybe Press on the other hand publishes chapbooks of novelettes and novellas, and though I'm not sure if the story is too serious for them, they allow you to sub over email so it will only cost me time and not money. I think a chapbook might be a good format for this story so I'm hoping for the best. Their chapbooks look nice, at least as professional as one's I've ordered from Subterranean Press.
